Since our company was founded by J.H. Klingensmith in 1940, Klingensmith’s Drugstores has been all about service.
Our 160 employees in our drugstore locations pride themselves on serving their neighbors in their respective communities.
At Klingensmith’s we provide many services and products you may not be familiar with. Services that save you time and money and products you may not find at the national chain drug stores. Here’s some examples...
24/7 Prescription Refill Ordering: From any touch-tone phone you can order a prescription refill and pick it up during business hours at your neighborhood Klingensmith’s Drugstore. If you’re an early-bird, call in your refill in the morning and pick it up when the store opens. No waiting till 9:00am.
Diabetes Care: Over the past 5-10 years the number of diagnosed diabetics has increased substantially. At Klingensmith’s, our excellent pharmacists are trained to assist patients in the management of their disease. We carry the latest diabetes testing products – blood glucose monitors, testing strips and now diabetic shoes. We employ two diabetic shoe fitters who travel to all store locations throughout the week to meet and fit patients for diabetic footwear.
Digital Photo Processing On-Site: Nearly all of our stores have a Sony Picture Station® where you can process your digital photos. Why wait in line at the big-box stores when our machines rarely are backed up.
Dry Cleaning: We offer twice-a-week dry cleaning drop-off and pick up service at 6 of our 8 store locations. The garments are professionally cleaned and cared for by Spic-n-Span Cleaners in Ford City and Kittanning and returned to Klingensmith’s in just 2-3 business days. Customers pay the same rate for the service. There is no additional charge.
In addition to these we are what a traditional drug store should be. We participate in over 300 prescription insurance plans. We offer a wide selection of sundries and health and beauty aids. Our card and gift sections are fresh and up-to-date with new products arriving all of the time.
