Reports to: Pharmacy Manager / Lead Technician
Job Description: Job duties include checking in the pharmacy order, maintaining inventory, adding new patients and updating current patients in the pharmacy computer, assisting the pharmacist with running prescriptions and checking out customers in pharmacy area. Technicians are also responsible for dealing with insurance companies over the phone and other duties as assigned by the pharmacist on duty.
Eligibility Requirements: Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task. Should be able to handle all register transactions accurately. Must be flexible and able to work efficiently during busy periods. Must be friendly and able to quickly meet customer needs. Excellent phone, customer service and problem solving skills required. Should be proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel. Must have strong time management and organizational skills. Prior experience dealing with insurance companies a plus. Klingensmith’s certification must be completed within 6 months of hire and national certification must be completed within 15 months of hire.
