Position: Retail Sales Clerk
Hours: Part Time
Reports to: Store Manager
Job Description: Retail clerks are responsible for all register transactions, lottery transactions (where applicable), other service counter transactions, coffee bar maintenance (where applicable) and customer service. Clerks are also responsible for other duties as assigned by the pharmacist, merchandising department, or other members of management. If this location is not a retail store, the sales clerk will work primarily in the pharmacy with duties including, but not limited to, assisting with the filling of prescriptions i.e. Rx packaging. The clerk is also responsible for all phases of the delivery process which include data entry, packaging and reconciling the UPS system (where applicable). On occaision, it may be necessary for any retail employee to work in a location other than their home location.
Eligibility Requirements: Should be able to handle all register and lottery transactions accurately. Must be flexible and able to work efficiently during busy periods. Must be friendly and able to quickly meet customer needs. Prior POS, retail or customer service experience a plus. Qualified candidate should be able to work in all locations of the store (front end registers, lottery, and pharmacy). On occaision it may be neccessary for a retail clerk to work in a location other than their home store. Excellet communication skills (particulary on the phone) are essential.
