Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)

Hours: Full-Time

Location: Leechburg

Reports to: Director of Pharmacy/Director of Clinical Pharmacy

Job Description:
You will be accountable for the exceptional care of your community by providing personal pharmacy services, managing all aspects of store operations, and conducting prescription transactions.
In addition, you will oversee and participate in preventive and enhanced pharmacy healthcare services located at Klingensmith’s pharmacies which include the following: Immunizations, Adherence Services (Medication Synchronization and Adherence packaging), Medication Reconciliation, and Medication Therapy Management services.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision of all pharmacy store staff including pharmacists, technicians, fill tech/cashier clerks, and drivers. Ensure staff are properly trained for job functions, including customer service, problem and complaint resolution, management of patient profiles and all pharmacy services we offer our patients and healthcare partners and professionals.
  • Ensures all RX and OTC items leaving the pharmacy are accurate, complete and payment has successfully been secured including dispensing of medications to Medicare beneficiaries.
  • Prescription transactions: dispensing, billing, adjudication, and sale of the product
  • Performs patient counseling and all pharmacy services to meet customer satisfaction and resource management.
  • Accountable for identifying gaps in pharmacy operations knowledge among team members and supporting those team members in their training, either through hands-on training or assignment of learning modules.
  • Assists Pharmacy Ownership and leadership team in monitoring that all pharmacy and team member licensures, registrations and certifications are active and in good standing/ compliant with all regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Maintains and enhances current knowledge and skills related to pharmacy and healthcare.
  • Obtains necessary certifications, education credits and training required by the Company and Pennsylvania Licensure. Follows performance improvement plans offered by Pharmacy Ownership and leadership team.
  • Communicates with pharmacy team, relaying messages from the support center or other key emails as required.
  • Participates in key store/pharmacy meetings and meets with staff on a regular basis.
  • Manages pharmacy inventory, out dates, return and audit counts as required including auditing controlled drugs.
  • Interacts with the Medical Community surrounding the pharmacy and attends public events and meetings to provide awareness of the pharmacy within the surrounding areas.
  • Oversees financial performance including management of inventory, sales, payroll, expenses, and maximizing claim reimbursement.

 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • B.S. degree or Pharm.D. from an accredited institution
  • Current Pharmacist Licensure in Pennsylvania
  • 2-5 years of Pharmacy Experience in community pharmacy dispensing and patient care delivery workflow.
  • Certified Active Pennsylvania Immunizer and knowledge of immunization workflow in a community pharmacy.
  • Not required but preferred training or willing to be trained as a Pennsylvania Pharmacy Care Network Provider for patient care services.
  • Strong customer service orientation and commitment to the profession of pharmacy and its advancement in the community setting.
  • Preferred experience in the leadership/management of a pharmacy team.
  • Ability to lead and work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Resourceful interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills with both pharmacy staff and healthcare providers and partners.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
  • Dependable with good attendance and adherence to schedules.
  • Initiative to develop and complete projects with designated timelines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Computer skills and understanding of pharmacy prescription billing processes for at least prescriptions and immunizations. Understanding billing for non-distribution pharmacy services is an addition.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time and perform daily operations in the pharmacy.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted

Data Entry Pharmacy Technician

Hours: Full-Time

Location: Floating Between All Locations

Reports to: Lead Technician / Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)

Job Description:

Pharmacy technicians are responsible for data entry of patient information, updating patient information, checking in the pharmacy order, and maintaining inventory in the pharmacy computer as well as assisting the pharmacist with running prescriptions and checking out customers in the pharmacy area.

Technicians are also responsible for dealing with insurance companies over the phone as well as for any other duties assigned by the pharmacist on duty.

Delivery Driver

Hours: Part-Time

Location: Our Service Area – Routes may vary

Reports to: Store Manager / Warehouse

Job Description:

As a Store Delivery Driver, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring that our customers receive their prescriptions and other merchandise safely and efficiently. With the chance to work in various locations, you’ll never be bored and will always be challenged to learn and grow.

You’ll also have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the manager, including pick-up and delivery between stores. With a supportive team and a commitment to excellence, you’ll have all the resources you need to succeed in this exciting role.

Retail Clerk / Merchandiser

Hours: Full-Time

Reports to: Store Manager

Job Description:

–RETAIL CLERK
As a Retail Clerk, you’ll play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service while handling register transactions, lottery transactions, and other service counter duties.

You’ll also have the opportunity to help maintain our coffee bar and pharmacy register, ensuring that every customer’s experience is a positive one.

–MERCHANDISER
Our Merchandisers are responsible for managing merchandise, placing orders, and creating seasonal sets. You’ll also help keep our products neat and organized, ensuring that every customer has a fantastic shopping experience.

–IMPORTANT:
On occasion, it may be necessary for any retail employee to work in a location other than their home location.
